bareMinerals Strengthen & Lengthen Mascara

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] bareMinerals isn’t where I’d head first for mascara but their new Strengthen & Lengthen is super impressive if you like perfectly separated and defined lashes. I really need to see a tutorial on how to use the brush which is a strange shape – there are instructions but they’re not really clear enough for me to be sure I’m using it correctly. However, I got a great result but maybe more by accident than design!

So, I’m quoting from the bareMinerals site on instructions of use … ‘LENGTHEN: Position the brush horizontally, directly under lashes as close to the root as possible, lifting and out no need to wiggle (I think this is what I did). BUILD: The back of the brush can be used to build fullness. Focus on the middle lashes for a wide-eyed effect (I do not really understand this). DEFINE: Use the side bristles to define the corners and lower lashes (what?). But – as I say, my lashes are exceptionally defined – to a ‘wow’ level.

The formula is peptide infused which lashes love because it helps to strengthen them with the purpose being to give stronger and fuller lashes with every day use. It makes complete sense to me to infuse mascara with optimal ingredients for lash growth – I mean, who doesn’t want longer lashes. Most mascaras have a conditioning element which they can stretch to a claim of ‘helping’ to condition lashes and therefore lead to longer and stronger lashes, but bareMinerals have clinicals that show results in 8 weeks. If you’re an every day mascara wearer its a very easy way to get some lash length without doing anything other than what you’d normally do and I like that idea. Lash growth serums really do work but can feel like just one more thing to do in a whole heap of things that need doing. It’s safe for lens wearers as well.

You can see in the image that there is also a version for brows – I love the brush on that because it gives your brows a little comb through at the same time. I don’t particularly want bigger, bushier brows but if you do, I think it’s worth a go. With the mascara you get the instant result of lovely lashes so the 8 week wait doesn’t seem any bother, but it’s not the same with the brow serum. Patience is what will work for that :-). It feels like good value on the mascara at £23 but even better that it’s on offer HERE, for £19.05. non-affiliate HERE, which is about what I’d expect to pay for it. The Brow Gel is normally £18 but FeelUnique has it for £14.90 HERE.
