Moroccanoil Shower Gel

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Who knew that Moroccan Oil made shower gel? I have no idea how this passed me by but I am very pleased to be introduced to it. I also noticed a Moroccanoil Body Souffle but had a hint of deja vu and realised I’d posted about this in 2012! You can also find hand cream and dry body oil. I think it’s much better known in the US that these things exist – they probably have much better distribution as well so it’s a more familiar sight.

Moroccanoil Shower Gel

I’ve looked everywhere for a break down of the signature scent of Moroccanoil but the best I can find is ‘amber and florals’. I’ve seen others guess at citrus and I see why – there is a slightly lemony aspect to it that gives it a lift amidst the florals which I would put at tropical. I think maybe jasmine and/or tiare.  But anyway, the scent is a very big draw for fans of the brand, whether it’s for body or hair.

Moroccanoil Shower Gel

Alone, the shower gel is £24 (more expensive than Molton Brown!) and the hair treatment oil bought alone is £32.85. However, bought as a set it’s £36 which is astonishingly good value – I guess it means the shower gel is £3. So, if you do need to stock up on Moroccanoil, you might as well get the gel too. I like it (not sure I’d happily pay full price) for being skin softening (thank you to the drop of argan oil which this brand has built its USP around) and the addition of a sort of soapiness to the original scent which makes it smell fresh and clean as well as exotic and mellow.
