Nails Inc As Purr Set

[unpaid.sample/affiliate/ad] I love a witty name for a product and this has made me smile – it’s a clever and funny title for the leopard effect set. I say leopard effect but if anyone remembers Dior’s Mock Alligator nails or YSL Crackles nails from around 2012, this is not dissimilar to those – and only really becomes leopardy next to actual leopard print. I have plenty of that!

The two shades are Pawfect Attitude and Feline Court. Apply two coats of Feline Court (a very lush natural shade that I’d wear alone any day of the week) and allow them to dry. Once they’re dry, apply Pawfect Attitude which is the cracking top coat. I then added a quick dry top coat. The brand states that the thinner the coat of Pawfect Attitude, the more leopard like it will be but having tried it twice, it’s quite difficult to do a thin coat over the standard polish as it’s made to a very fast dry, shrinking formula that breaks apart as it dries. It’s quite thick so thin-coating is not easy – you’re better to do a thick coat and take what comes.

See what I mean about it looking leopardy when in leopard company but not otherwise? So, even though it doesn’t break up into perfect leopard spots, I quite like this as a grungy look which will look great in winter with a black polo neck. It’s kind of deconstructed or graffiti like brown and that’s fine with me. More interesting maybe is the come-back of a trend last seen at least 9 years ago and we were all over it like a rash then. At least, I was :-). I think if All Saints made nail polish, they’d make this. You can buy the crackle coat separately HERE for £8 which I think I would because lovely as the neutral shade is, I keep thinking about putting it over a bright blue. Otherwise, the duo is HERE for £15. Non affiliate is HERE.
