ZHU has teamed up with Capitol Records‘ P25 music program to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. Out of the ZHU camp comes a triplet of remixes that land on Pokémon 25: The Blue EP.
In addition to the EP, ZHU is in the process of launching merchandise with Pokémon that combines his affinity for the time-honored franchise with his passion for fashion. The collection will infuse ZHU’s iconic logo and aesthetic with Pokémon‘s characters and themes for a streetwear-inspired merch line. Elaborating and inciting further excitement among fans, ZHU stated in a press release,
“As a lifelong fan of Pokémon, I wanted to bring back a flash of the ’90s into today’s fashion. Of course, I had to incorporate my favorite Pokémon Gengar.”
ZHU’s remixes will be featured on the forthcoming compilation album Pokémon 25: The Album amongst massive names such as Katy Perry, Post Malone, J Balvin, and more. Until then, stream Pokémon:The Blue EP below for an extra dose of the dance music dignitary.
