After a forced hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Canadian event promoter Multicolore has made a grand return this summer with its beloved outdoor event series, Piknic Électronik. The brand’s weekly concert programming has returned for a COVID-19-friendly set-up for summer 2021 at Parc Jean-Drapeau, and safe to say, Montreal’s music scene has welcomed it back with open arms.
This year’s rendition of Piknic follows the same carefree daytime picnic party model for which it’s known and loved—with a few new twists. Festival goers will be able to pick their preferred stage lineup, nab up to four friends in their zone, and drop the masks upon arriving at their spot.
Although July’s lineup illuminated the province’s ample stock of hometown talent, going into August, Piknic amped up its approach, bringing in a selection of internationally recognized headliners like Tiga, CRi, Leaving Laurel, Jacques Greene, Felix da Housecat, and many others.
Tickets can be purchased for afternoon (1:00 – 5:00 p.m. local time) and evening (6:00 – 10:00 p.m. local time) time slots each Saturday and Sunday of the month, featuring the same daily lineup for each section. More information on this year’s Piknic Électronik is available on its official website.
