With two collaborations already under their belts, REZZ and Deathpact are teaming up once again for round three on “Chemical Bond.” First releasing “Life & Death” in 2018 then “Kiss of Death” in 2019, the pair returns with an edgier bass cut that dives deep into the darkness. Maintaining the same chemistry established across their first collaborations, “Chemical Bond” hypnotizes audiences and aptly leads us into the upcoming Halloween season with its haunting production framework.
The new collaboration is only the tip of the iceberg though. REZZ also revealed that the track serves as the first single from her upcoming fourth studio album. Spiral is set to be released sometime this fall, however, an official date has not yet been shared.
“Chemical Bond” arrives as REZZ’s fourth collaboration of the year, following “Sacrificial” with PVRIS, “Hypnocurrency” alongside deadmau5, and “Taste of You” with Dove Cameron. With a new album on the way, REZZ is signaling to a highly collaborative work, likely to bring her cast of collaborators down a shadowy mid-tempo rabbit hole on the new LP.
The illusive Deathpact has long garnered conspiracy theories as to their true identity, with REZZ and Zeds Dead‘s Hooks often sitting at the center of Reddit threads that try to dig up who the mysterious producer truly is. While an identity has not yet been quite nailed down, Deathpact has remained busy in the studio. This spring saw two EPs from the producer, SPLIT // PERSONALITY and SPLIT // PERSONALITY PT. 02.
