For the 2021 Broccoli City Festival, all tickets from last year’s event will be honored. Headliners include Moneybagg Yo, Justine Skye, and others.
Broccoli City Festival is officially back after canceling last year’s event. Snoh Aalegra, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, and Lucky Daye will take the stage at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. on October 2. Additionally, Rubi Rose, Justine Skye and Soulection will also make appearances.
For the ninth year of Broccoli City, the festival is teaming up with Live Nation Urban. The Black-owned event has featured acts including Cardi B, Nipsey Hussle, Miguel, Wizkid, Lil Wayne, and Chance The Rapper in previous years.
Snoh Aalegra is prepping to release her newest album which she’s teased on social media, and we’re hoping Lucky Daye is in the studio recording an EP or album ahead of Broccoli City. Most recently, he released Table For Two, a Valentine’s Day EP. Headliner Lil Baby returns after hitting D.C. for the 2019 concert. The Atlanta rapper is turning into a festival go-to, he’s also headlining Made in America and performing at Rolling Loud New York. Beyond these three festivals, he’s also fronting the “Back Outside Tour” alongside Lil Durk.
“2020 was tough on everyone. From the disproportionate number of black lives lost as a result of COVID-19 to the tragic murders of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and countless others, it goes without saying that the black community was hit the hardest,” said Brandon McEachern and Marcus Allen, co-founders of Broccoli City Festival.
The duo also added:
“Coming off of such a pivotal year where everyone is trying to capitalize on black culture, it’s more important now than ever before for us to protect these sacred spaces created by black people to authentically celebrate black culture. We’re happy to be back and look forward to Broccoli City Festival 2021 being the most authentic celebration of black culture, arts, and music the industry has seen.”
Broccoli City Festival will take place on October 2 at RFK Stadium. General admission tickets start at $89. All 2020 tickets will be honored, a pre-sale kicks off today for 24 hours. Visit BCFestival.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
