The first single from Tony Romera‘s debut studio album has landed in both a standard and extended form, and even comes complete with an accompanying visual, providing a comprehensive preview to what is yet to come on the LP. Cue “VHS,” which aptly features VHS footage from Romera’s childhood.
Romera expanded on the inspiration behind “VHS” in an official release, stating,
“This track comes from my heart. I had so many childhood memories when I wrote it and I wanted to give it that nostalgic but also hopeful vibe. I just imagine myself driving, watching a sick sunset by the sea, or watching childhood VHS cassettes with my family. That’s what this track is made for.”
“VHS” is out now via Monstercat.
