Victoria Hendry reveals after the birth of her second child she suffered with severe back problems.
But after losing nearly 24 kilos through the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, this amazing mum-of-two no longer has the same issues she had with her back.
In fact, this mum says she’s fitter and stronger than ever before.
Victoria lost nearly 24 kilos and no longer suffers with back issues
Unable to pick her up kids and living in agony with her back, Victoria decided it was time to do something – anything to make the pain go away.
“I couldn’t pick up my kids, couldn’t play, couldn’t do basic stuff round the house, it was just awful,” she says.
“I knew that losing weight would help but I didn’t realise how much of a difference it would have.”
Incredibly, Victoria has 24 kilos, the majority of it came off during lockdown.
“I was a size 18 and I’m now a size 12. My back is pretty much back to normal, my knees no longer ache and I sleep better,” she says.
“Physically I’m fitter, stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my life. Mentally, I’m so much more confident, I enjoy life so much more.”
What Victoria eats on a typical day
Breakfast: Oats with fruit
Lunch: Salad with either chicken or an omelette
Dinner: Veggies with either meat or fish
Snacks: Fruit, veggies
Dessert: Healthy Mummy Chocolate Slice
“My favourite Healthy Mummy recipes are chocolate slice, 2 ingredient pizza dough, chocolate oats, courgette slice, cookie dough bliss balls,” she says.
“Go for low-calorie alternatives if there’s something you’re struggling to cut out. Count all your calories. Eat loads of low calorie foods to fill up.
“My advice would be to go easy to start with, small changes and make sustainable good habits. Enjoy the exercise you choose, and if you don’t enjoy it then try something else.”
