Following their Never Enough EP released earlier this summer, Disclosure have given fans even another reason to rejoice as they reveal their involvement in an upcoming mix for the venerated house and techno compilation series, DJ-Kicks, via !K7 Records. News of the Lawrence brothers’ new mix comes punctuated by their new single, “Observer Effect.”

The track is one featured on the upcoming October 15 compilation and if it’s any indicator of what to expect, fans are sure to hear more wickedly club-centered material across the duration of the incoming project. Staying the course following their latest studio album, ENERGY, and No. 3 on Dancing Astronaut’s Top Electronic Albums of 2020, the duo continues to free fall even deeper into dance-heavy discotheque territory, referring to the DJ-Kicks installment as a companion to their latest LP. Solidifying their intention with the coming mix, Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence comments,

“Most of the mix is presenting what you can do with house…And that’s basically our career: trying to move house forward, whether it’s with songwriting or using different genres or different languages. The mix should represent where we’re at now, and where we’re at now is clubby.”

Stay tuned for more from Disclosure’s upcoming DJ-Kicks debut and in the meantime, stream “Observer Effect” below.
