Limp Bizkit put on a show-stopping performance at Lollapalooza over the weekend, giving fans a taste of their classic songs coupled with a new look
Fred Durst is trending on social media, thanks to his high-octane performance with Limp Bizkit at Lollapalooza on Saturday (July 31) and his new, very grown-up look. Remember the days of Durst rocking a red baseball cap? Well, those days are long gone.
At Lollapalooza, which happened this past weekend at Grant Park in Chicago, Durst premiered his new appearance, wearing a gray, mature mop-top and handlebar mustache, red sunglasses and a windbreaker. It’s very different from the hip-hop inspired look fans have come to expect from the rap rocker, but not a shock, since Durst has been known to serve up surprises on occasion.
While Durst’s look at Lollapalooza was different, Limp Bizkit’s set at Lollapalooza featured mainly classic material from the band’s catalog. The group – which also features skilled guitarist Wes Borland, John Otto, Sam Rivers and DJ Lethal – performed 10 tracks, including big hits such as “My Way,” “My Generation,” “Nookie,” “Hot Dog” and “Break Stuff.” Watch pro footage of the full set below, including the debut of a new song, “Dad Vibes.”
Durst took to Instagram to debut his new look a few days before Limp Bizkit’s performance, plus shared a photo with his son, who was at the festival. View the photos below. Other performers at this year’s Lollapalooza included Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Tyler, the Creator, Miley Cyrus, Journey, Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, Brittany Howard, Band of Horses, Young the Giant, Angels & Airwaves, All Time Low, Michigander, Grandson, Porches, Rookie, Sebastian Paul, Yellow Claw, Jacob Banks, Dominic Fike, Oliver Tree, White Reaper, Peach Tree Rascals and more.
Aside from Lollapalooza, Limp Bizkit is currently on a U.S. tour with Spiritbox. That trek runs through an Aug. 24 date at the Palladium in Los Angeles.
