Long Beach producer RemK lets loose from his vault one of many unreleased IDs, heavy-hitting trap heater, “High Tide.” The one-off notably provided the opener to his “Detour Mix” in December, and RemK would later tease it once more during his “On The Coast” set at Boombox Cartel’s Cinco Mode livestream in May. Of the release, RemK said he “spent a lot of time trying to find [his] own unique sound that blends hard-hitting drops with melodic and catchy intros. I think this song portrays that vision of mine.”
The 20-year-old producer is a staple of the “SD Waterboys,” a dynamic group of forward-thinking artists in the San Diego trap and bass scene that also includes ISOxo, Knock2, Frosttop, and Aleko. “High Tide” comes on the heels of his previous 2021 releases including “Turning Point’ and his remix of The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather.” Stream “High Tide” below.
